FAQ
Does it really work without the internet?
Yes. VocalButler has no internet permission, and its language model runs on your phone. The small helper app is what downloads the model and updates, only when you say yes.
Which phones will it run on?
Android 12 or newer. The language model is a one-time 2.6 GB download over Wi-Fi.
Why isn’t it on the Play Store?
Play lets only your default SMS or Phone app read your SMS and call log. VocalButler reads both to catch scams, on your phone, so it comes from vocalbutler.com: signed, with its SHA-256 published for you to check. Installing takes one “allow this source” switch, once.
What will it cost?
You buy it once, and it keeps working without a subscription. Prices come with the launch.
What does it read?
Your SMS, notifications and files, on your phone, to warn and remind you. It can’t send them anywhere, because it has no internet.
Who can see what it knows?
Only you. It keeps what it learns on your phone, sealed with a key that Android holds for you.

Google Play lets an app read your SMS and call log only if it is your default SMS or Phone app, with a few narrow exceptions. VocalButler reads both to warn you about scams, and keeps every word on your phone. So it comes straight from vocalbutler.com, where you can check every byte.
